About us:
The Education and Research Unit is the engine room for learning and improvement—delivering nursing and midwifery education, growing professional practice, and driving clinical improvement so best practice care isn't just the goal, it's the standard. The unit is led by the Nursing Director (Education and Research), who keeps the learning wheels turning.
The team is a powerhouse of expertise, bringing together Nurse Educators, Midwifery Educators, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Clinical Placement Coordinators, Clinical Facilitators, Student Facilitators, Librarians, and the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) service—all reporting to the Nursing Director of Education and Research.
Nurse Educators based in Gladstone, Emerald, Aged Care and Mental Health stay closely connected through strong professional links with the Education and Research Unit, ensuring learning is shared, consistent, and always evolving.
