As the head of department, you will be responsible for providing professional leadership, governance, coordination and management of occupational therapy services across all clinical areas and programs.
About the Role
* Provides professional leadership and expertise to the occupational therapy team
* Coordinates duties and manages performance to ensure efficient, effective and high-quality occupational therapy services
* Manages occupational therapy staff under the Director Allied Health
* Coordinates regional support on workforce planning, implementation of strategic initiatives, teaching, training and research opportunities
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the occupational therapy team to deliver high-quality patient care and services
* Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery, quality and productivity
* Mentor and coach occupational therapy staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve shared goals and objectives
