The Role
This role sits at the intersection of product development and manufacturing. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager – Product Integration ensures that products released to manufacturing are manufacturable, capable of achieving required quality levels, and optimised for cost and production repeatability.
You will lead Design for Manufacture (DFM) and contribute to Design for Quality (DFQ) during product development, working closely with Product Development Engineering, Product Integration, Quality, and Supply Chain, as well as external manufacturing partners.
This role is about identifying manufacturing risk early, improving production capability, and ensuring designs translate successfully from engineering into repeatable, high‑quality production.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Leading DFM reviews during product development
* Supporting DFQ and manufacturing risk identification
* Reviewing designs, assemblies, and manufacturing methods for production readiness
* Working with engineering teams to resolve manufacturability risks early
* Assessing and improving supplier manufacturing capability
* Supporting new product introduction and transition to production
* Improving production yield, quality, and repeatability
About You
* Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, or similar
* ~7+ years in manufacturing engineering, industrialisation, or NPI
* Experience working with external manufacturers / contract manufacturers
* Experience supporting products from development through to production
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly, and process capability
