Job Description
Our organization is seeking a part-time engagement worker to join our Safe Night Space team. The successful candidate will work on a 4-on-4-off roster between the hours of 11:30pm and 7am.
The Safe Night Space has been developed in response to the urgent need for a safe and culturally secure night space for women sleeping rough in Perth. This may include chronically street-present women, women escaping family and domestic violence, and women awaiting placement in transitional or long-term accommodation.
The ideal candidate will have a willingness to work within and contribute to our organization's vision, mission, core values, and guiding principles. They should also have relevant qualifications or experience working with individuals with diverse needs.
As an engagement worker, you will be responsible for engaging with individuals at different levels of need and building professional relationships. You will also provide support services to people experiencing disadvantage and model positive behaviors, emotional maturity, coping skills, and resilience.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
* A relevant qualification (certificate III/IV) and/or relevant work experience (at least 2 years)
* Ability to engage with individuals at different levels of need and build professional relationships
* Relevant experience and demonstrated skill in providing support services to people experiencing disadvantage
* High level of understanding of the Housing First principles and how they relate to people experiencing homelessness

Please note that this position involves shift work, working night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, with relevant penalty rates applying. You will also be required to hold a current driver's license, national police clearance certificate, and first aid certificate.
