The baker is responsible for meticulously executing recipes and producing baked goods per the production schedule.
The baker will maintain The Eat Shop quality standards by delivering premium products and services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities and Duties Manage production and prepare a wide variety of standard and custom baked goods according to The Eat Shop's approved recipesMix, bake, build, decorate and inscribe products in an efficient manner (as applicable)Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to all required food safety code standardsSafely operate and maintain bakery equipmentCommunicate effectively with customers and teammatesPerform well in a fast-paced environmentCollaborate with teammatesMaintain a clean and sanitary baking areaOpen and close the bakery as assigned Work Experience and Requirements Must have experience baking a variety of items at home or in a commercial setting.Must be detail-oriented and able to concentrate in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work in cross functional roles as needed (back of house and front of house).
Must have reliable transportation.Must be able to build relationships and communicate effectively with customers and teammates.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead is required on a daily basis.Must be able to stand for an extended period of time.Must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds.
Language Must be able to speak, read, and write English, and communicate to coworkers and customers in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
