We are looking for a Cert III qualified Care Worker with at least 6 months experience to join the Silverchain team in the Baulkham Hills 2153 area. You will help older community members maintain independence and wellbeing.

In addition, you will need 
- An Open Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle. 
- Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Disability. 
- Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role that includes personal care, manual handling, hoist training and assisting with medications. 
The role 
In the role of Home Care Worker, you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services, such as general housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping. You will also provide personal care services including getting clients out of bed, showering and dressing, assisting with medications, mobility support, and social/emotional support. You may provide transport to activities or appointments and assist the family carer to have a break. 
- General housekeeping and making beds. 
- Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors. 
- Washing, folding and ironing laundry. 
- Meal preparation and grocery shopping. 
- Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day. 
- Assisting clients to take their medications. 
- Assisting with mobility and therapy goals. 
- Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia. 
- Providing social and emotional support. 
- Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments. 
- Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
