Automation Technician

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join the Service team in Kalgoorlie. The ideal candidate will have a background in industrial control systems, a keen interest for continuous learning and ability to produce safe, reliable and maintainable PLC and SCADA systems to meet client requirements within a wide variety of sectors. This is a permanent full‐time role for a licensed electrician. You will be experienced in troubleshooting using online PLC and SCADA tools across major platforms including Rockwell, Siemens and Schneider.
In This Role, You Will
* Provide field service and breakdown support for a range of customers across varying industries.
* Perform preventative, corrective and recommended maintenance and maintain documentation.
* Lead electrical installation works.
* Assist with commissioning of projects.
* Work on the job reporting and invoicing.
Skills And Experience
* Strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.
* Industrial electrical experience.
* PLC programming (ideally in Rockwell, Siemens and Schneider) and HMI/SCADA programming (ideally in Citect, FactoryTalk or WinCC).
* Electrical installation and commissioning experience.
* Commitment to customer satisfaction.
* Ability and desire to participate in a rotating after‐hours on‐call roster.
* Australian driver's licence and unrestricted electrical licence (essential).
* Right to work in Australia (essential).
