About the role
Clé de Peau Beauté are seeking an exceptional Counter Manager to lead the new counter at David Jones in Bourke Street. This is a permanent part-time role 36 hours per week across all store trading hours.
In this role, you will be responsible for inspiring and coaching your team to deliver an unparalleled luxury experience, ensuring operational excellence, and achieving sales and service goals. You will be the brand ambassador, setting the standard for client engagement, counter presentation, and business performance.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* Lead, inspire, and coach a team of Beauty Advisors to consistently exceed sales, service, and presentation standards.
* Create a memorable “omotenashi” experience for every client, offering personalised skincare and makeup recommendations.
* Analyse business performance and implement strategic initiatives to drive growth.
* Oversee all counter operations, including merchandising, stock control, and compliance with brand guidelines.
* Foster strong relationships with customers, store management, and internal stakeholders.
* Plan and execute in-store events, new product launches, and promotional activities.
* Ensure a pristine and inviting counter environment at all times.

You must be a passionate individual who is enthusiastic about the Clé de Peau Beauté brand and its luxurious products. You will possess a strong focus on customer service, excellent communication skills, and a friendly, professional demeanour.

You are a confident leader with a proven track record in luxury beauty retail, exceptional communication skills, and a deep passion for delivering world-class service.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
* 3–5 years of experience in beauty retail, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (luxury beauty preferred).
* Strong coaching and people management skills with the ability to inspire high performance.
* Demonstrated ability to drive sales and achieve KPIs.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
