FIFO Field Service Technician - Hagglunds
Full-time. Working a 12/9 roster, you will deliver field based service, fault finding, installation, and maintenance of Hagglunds hydraulic drive systems.
Flights, accommodation, and a vehicle are provided while on shift, with flights available from all major capital cities.
Responsibilities
* Breakdowns & Field Service: Respond to service and breakdown requests, carrying out onsite inspections, fault finding, repairs, and system testing to restore performance and minimise downtime.
* Diagnostics & Analysis: Diagnose issues across hydraulic systems including pressure, flow, contamination, leakage, overheating, and component wear, supported by testing and root cause analysis.
* Installation & Commissioning: Perform installation, commissioning, and modernisation of Hagglunds hydraulic drive systems including motors, power units, pipework, and controls.
* Maintenance & Reliability: Complete inspections and preventative maintenance, identifying further repair, upgrade, and spare parts opportunities.
* Customer Support: Act as a trusted technical advisor onsite, providing clear communication, practical solutions, and ongoing support to customers.
* Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed service reports, quotations, and job documentation, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and quality control.
Qualifications
* Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Hydraulics, or similar
* 5+ years' experience in field service or working with hydraulic systems
* Experience working on or exposure to Hagglunds hydraulic drive systems (highly regarded)
* Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills across hydraulic equipment
* Experience working in mining, industrial, or heavy industry environments
* Ability to work autonomously in a FIFO environment
* Strong communication and customer engagement skills
* High attention to detail and focus on quality outcomes
* Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
