We are a busy concrete and construction company looking for a reliable Yard Person / General Hand to join our team. This is a hands-on role with a mix of yard duties, customer service, maintenance, and batching at our concrete plant (training provided). Truck driving is a strong plus.
We are looking for someone reliable, flexible, and keen to get their hands on a wide variety of work to support our daily operations. You’ll be ready to contribute across all areas of the business and be open to learning new skills as needed, such as batching concrete, operating an excavator or forklift, and handling various on-site tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with reinforcement products, quarry products, and other materials
- Load/unload materials safely (mesh, pallets, bulk materials), potentially using a forklift
- Perform metal fabrication, welding, and general repairs/maintenance as required
- General yard duties: mowing, spraying weeds, cleaning, and tidying the yard
- Clean concrete trucks and equipment
- Assist with stock control, deliveries, and receiving
- Batch concrete (training provided; no prior experience required)
- (If licensed) Occasional truck driving to deliver concrete
- Assist tradespeople with tasks as needed
Skills & Requirements
- Reliable, practical, and happy to work outdoors
- Physically fit and able to handle manual work
- Willing to learn new skills and take on a wide variety of tasks
- Willing to learn batching/plant operation — training provided
- Comfortable using our electronic job management system — training provided
- Experience in metal fabrication and welding
- Forklift licence and HR truck licence preferred
- White Card preferred or willing to obtain
- Handy with tools and practical tasks
- Team player with good communication skills for working with colleagues and customers

- A long term full-time position. We’re looking to hire on a casual basis initially, with the opportunity to transition to full-time permanent employment for the right candidate.

About Us
We specialise in residential and commercial concreting, general construction, excavation, and earthworks across Warren and surrounding areas. We also have a small hobby farm activity.
Location
We’re based in Warren (Central NSW, Australia - 1,700 habitants), a friendly country town with pubs, restaurants, gym, pool, library, active local sports, river fishing, golf, schools, and more. It is a great little country town, but fairly remote (the closest city is 1.5hr drive away).
Accommodation
At this time, you will need to find your own accommodation. In addition to the regular way to find an accommodation, you can look on the Warren NSW Community Noticeboard Facebook group. Alternatively, there are hotels/motels, a caravan park, and a free camp (might be for short term).
In the future, we might have some worker accommodations available.
