About the Role
We're seeking skilled, compassionate, and adaptable Midwives to join ACT Health on a three-year contract.
You'll play a vital role in supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care in accordance with best practice and ACT Health guidelines
* Support women during labour and birth, ensuring safety, dignity, and informed choice
* Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing, and respond to complications appropriately
* Educate and empower families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery
* Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and allied health professionals
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold safety standards

Requirements
* Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification
* AHRPA registration (Espirita can support you on your APRPA registration journey)
* English proficiency (certification or native fluency)
* Minimum 24 months of recent acute care experience
* Willingness to relocate to Canberra for a minimum of 3 years
