We seek an intuitive and independent experienced Dental Assistant to grow with this established practice, to the next level. Our friendly and dedicated team enjoy coming to work and are excited by the growth and development that this practice offers. We have a dedicated HR team member offering regular monthly 1:1 meetings to ensure your needs are met.
Your day will look like:
- Assisting (4 handed dentistry) in all aspects of general dentistry, depending on your level of experience, including hygiene, restorative, cosmetics, endodontics, orthodontics, implants.
- Photography and 3d scanning
- Liasing with dental laboratories
- Assistance with treatment planning and referrals
- Sterilisation and stock management
- remuneration will be based on your level of experience
Currently our clinical team consists of a Principal dentist, and a P/T associate dentist (both highly trained professionals with over 24 years experience), an Oral Hygiene Therapist and excellent support staff (DAs and Front office Co-ordinators).
Our clinic is one of the longest standing dental practices in the heart of Essendon, and has cared for generations of families with respectful service. We offer comprehensive dentistry, including restorative, orthodontics, cosmetics, all with state of the art digital technology: trios scanner, x-ray scanner, photography, brand new computers. Our traditional building is transitioning from a classic retro environment, with a series of cosmetic upgrades and renovations that will pay homage to the original 60s feel of the practice.
You will be mature and a great communicator, someone who enjoys getting to know people, who is also empathetic and patient with older patients. We are looking for an innovative, adaptive and flexible, a professional team player, with a growth mindset. Someone who loves to learn and problem solve, and who exhibits great attention to detail. You will therefore have a genuine interest in dentistry and all the latest dental technologies have to offer. Dual trained (Receptionist/DAs will be highly regarded).
Our culture: we believe in honesty and clear, open communication and would like to hear your ideas and opinions. We work hard but also like to have a joke and relax and we want you to feel comfortable to be yourself at work. We accept and encourage eccentric and quirky personalities that treat their colleagues and patients with respect. We retain a rigorous work - home life balance no weekends or late nights.
