The role of an Emergency Response Officer is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees at a smelter site.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver emergency response services that meet or exceed regulatory requirements
* Provide medical care for injured employees, utilizing skills and knowledge to administer appropriate treatment
* Respond swiftly to all fire, rescue, and hazardous materials emergencies on site
* Manage and maintain an industrial Health Care Centre to ensure it remains operational and compliant with regulations
In order to perform this role effectively, applicants must possess certain qualifications and skills:
Qualifications and Experience
* A Certificate IV in Health Care (HLT41115) or equivalent qualification in public safety (firefighting operations)
* Unrestricted Class C driver's license for South Australia, as well as a Security Agent license (South Australia) or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
* Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office software
