Role – Software Engineer - Commvault
This role is open to Australian citizen with NV2 Security clearance
* Duration – 12 months +12 months
Location / Working Arrangements: Canberra - It is expected that the majority of services delivered under this contract will be at Deakin Offices in Canberra. Full time from client site
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers specialising in Commvault to support the design, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise back‑up and storage solutions. The roles focus on delivering secure, compliant, and highly available systems that integrate with complex infrastructure environments.
These positions are hands‑on engineering roles with strong accountability for lifecycle documentation, compliance artefacts, operational performance, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Performance Measures
Success in this role will be measured against the following performance indicators:
* Maintain Linux configuration compliance
* Resolve incidents and problems within service levels
* Complete patch and update cycles, with zero overdue updates
* Achieve artefact acceptance on first submission
* Maintain Objective filing completeness
* Maintain network monitoring compliance
* Upload network design changes to Objective
* Resolve network incidents within service levels
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
* Demonstrated experience engineering and supporting Commvault back‑up and recovery solutions in large or complex environments.
* Strong experience with Linux systems, configuration management, patching, and compliance monitoring.
* Proven capability in system integration, storage, back‑up security, and performance optimisation.
* Experience producing high‑quality engineering documentation and lifecycle artefacts.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across infrastructure and network environments.
Desirable
* Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL).
* Experience working with multiple vendors and complex stakeholder groups.
* Knowledge of enterprise monitoring and compliance tooling.
