Individual Giving Specialist – Barnardos Australia Step into a newly created role, working closely with the Individual Giving Manager to strengthen both cash and regular giving programs through innovative multi-channel campaigns, while leading the design and delivery of a new mid-value program. Impact of the role This brand-new role provides the chance to play a key part in shaping the future growth of Barnardos’ Individual Giving program. Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, you will drive the delivery of engaging, multi-channel fundraising appeals and play a lead role in the development of new giving products across both cash and regular giving. Importantly, you will take the lead on mid-value program, driving the growth, strategy, and development of this key supporter segment. You’ll also spearhead the organisation’s new always-on digital cash acquisition program, ensuring a sustainable pipeline of engaged donors. Highly collaborative in nature, this role will see you work closely with colleagues across fundraising, marketing, brand, and digital, as well as external agencies, to deliver integrated campaigns, strengthen supporter relationships, and champion best practice stewardship and acquisition. Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver multi-channel fundraising campaigns across direct mail, email, digital, F2F, and telemarketing. Take ownership of the mid-value program, shaping strategy and driving growth. Spearhead the launch of an always-on digital cash acquisition stream. Strengthen donor engagement by retaining, reactivating, and upgrading supporters through personalised communications. Contribute to the development and launch of innovative new giving products across both cash and regular giving. Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective campaign delivery. Use data and insights to evaluate performance and inform future strategies. Collaborate with fundraising, marketing, brand, and digital teams to deliver integrated campaigns. Support budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting on campaign ROI. Drive innovation by testing new approaches and applying sector best practice. Skills and Experience Proven experience in fundraising, marketing, or related fields, delivering successful multi-channel campaigns. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Experience in donor/customer engagement, retention, and giving trends. Knowledge of both cash and Regular Giving programs, with experience developing new fundraising products, is highly desirable. Demonstrated success in growing mid-value or similar supporter programs. Ability to analyse data, interpret results, and apply insights to improve performance. Skilled in managing external agencies and suppliers for effective campaign delivery. Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder engagement skills. Financial acumen, including budgeting, monitoring, and ROI reporting. Innovative thinker who applies sector trends and best practices in fundraising. Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft compelling content. Confident and able to work effectively with different stakeholders at varying levels. Genuine interest in and commitment to the mission of supporting vulnerable children, young people, and families.
