ABOUT WACOSS
The Western Australian Council of Social Service (WACOSS) is the peak body for community service organisations and individuals across our state. We work for a more inclusive, just and equitable Western Australia — one where people and communities have the resources, power and opportunity to live well and participate fully.
Our members span every issue that shapes people's lives: housing, poverty, early childhood, health, family violence, digital inclusion, justice, disability, aged care and more. We stand with communities experiencing injustice and disadvantage, and we advocate for systemic change that delivers social and economic justice for all.
Joining WACOSS means joining a values‐driven organisation that is deeply connected to community, policy and advocacy — and where your work genuinely matters.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an Executive Assistant and Office Coordinator who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys being at the centre of organisational activity. This role provides high‐level executive, governance and operational support to the CEO, Board and wider organisation.
You'll manage complex diaries, prepare high‐quality correspondence and briefing materials, coordinate governance processes, support staff, and keep our office running smoothly. You'll also play a key role in maintaining and improving our digital information systems — helping us stay organised, secure and future‐focused.
No two days look the same. One moment you'll be preparing Board papers, the next coordinating a sector briefing, supporting a CEO engagement, or improving a digital filing process. If you love variety, pace and purpose, this role will keep you energised.
ABOUT YOU
You're someone who brings warmth, professionalism and initiative to everything you do. You enjoy being busy, you like people, and you take pride in creating order, clarity and calm in fast‐moving environments.
You will thrive in this role if you:
* Enjoy supporting senior leaders and being a trusted right‐hand
* Enjoy juggling multiple priorities and keeping things moving
* Are confident coordinating events — from small meetings to large sector forums
* Get satisfaction from improving systems, introducing new technology and making processes smoother
* Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person
* Are organised, proactive and unflappable
* Value social and economic justice and want your work to contribute to something bigger
* Enjoy being part of a small, committed and values‐driven team
If you're someone who likes to learn, likes to organise, and likes to make things better, you'll fit right in.
WACOSS is committed to building a diverse workforce workforce and strongly encourages applications from First Nations people, people with disabilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with lived experience of disadvantage, women, young and mature aged workers and the LGBTQIA+ community. We offer great working conditions and a generous leave provisions.
