About the Role We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Reservations team as a Reservations Consultant. This is a permanent, full-time position based on Hamilton Island. Reporting to the Customer Service & Sales Manager, the Reservations Consultant will serve as the first point of contact for our customers, assisting them with enquiries and helping them book their ideal experiences. This role is based at Hamilton Island Marina and requires you to either reside on Hamilton Island or commute daily from the mainland. Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: Keep up to date with all Cruise Whitsundays products, timetables, promotions The accurate input/management of email, phone, web chat and direct bookings. Correctly processing booking payments and correctly finalising EOD cash ups Checking and finalising QA bookings including applying promotions Accurately booking third party providers Stay up to date Reservations Policies and Procedures Prepare necessary paperwork/manifests for the following days operation Respond to customer feedback in accordance with Policies & Procedures About You The ideal candidate for the Reservations Consultant role is a passionate individual with excellent communication skills and has a strong guest service orientation. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy helping others plan their perfect experiences. With a positive attitude and a keen eye for detail, you are skilled at handling enquiries and bookings efficiently. Proficient with MS Office and confident in using technology and communication devices. Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with a solution-focused approach to problem-solving. Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively. A high-energy, motivated team player who enjoys working collaboratively. High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding service; familiarity with Custom Linc or similar reservation platforms is desirable.
