Our highly skilled workforce includes welders, boilermakers, painters, insulators, trade assistants and mechanical fitters. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Boilermaker / Welder to join our Darwin team. Key Responsibilities: Perform welding using MIG, TIG and Stick processes Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper nickel, aluminium and exotic materials Carry out deck repairs and replacements Install watertight doors and hatches Fabricate and repair pipes, tanks and marine components Ensure all welds meet strict quality standards and classification society requirements Follow all safe work practices and site safety procedures Contribute to a positive, productive and safety-focused team environment Work both independently and collaboratively across varied marine projects About You: Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Boilermaker / Fabricator (marine or shipyard experience highly desirable) Strong fabrication and structural welding capability Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints Demonstrated experience in aluminium welding using TIG and MIG Strong teamwork skills and commitment to safety culture Excellent communication skills White Card and valid Driver’s Licence (essential) Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance for a Defence Common Access Card (DCA Griffin Marine Services celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
