About the Dermatology Department
The Department of Dermatology provides an inpatient, outpatient and consultancy service. The Department of Dermatology also has an important role in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. It provides accredited registrar training for the Australasian College of Dermatologists and is affiliated with The University of Melbourne.
About the role
* Employment status: Sessional - Monday AM
As the Dermatology Consultantyou will be responsible for:
* Providingcomprehensive management of outpatients.
* Providinga consultative service to other Units as required.
* Supervisingtrainees and junior medical staff.
* Assisting in the evaluation of the delivery of services and in implementing appropriate quality and risk management initiatives.
* Demonstratinga commitment to working as a team member with peer medical, junior medical, nursing and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe and quality care across the continuum.
About you
To be successful for this role you must:
* Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Hold a Fellowship of the ACoD or equivalent
* Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Dermatology
* Demonstrate a commitment to high quality patient care
* Demonstrate a commitment to working as a team member with peer medical, junior medical, nursing and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe and quality care across the continuum, and
* Demonstrate a commitment to teaching, training and research.
