Casual Teacher - Science (Expressions of Interest) – Western Sydney University, The College. The Casual Teaching Community is open for eligible candidates to register an Expression of Interest (EoI) for casual employment with The College. Opportunities are offered on an ad hoc or intermittent basis and the College does not guarantee ongoing or regular work.

Opportunity and responsibilities
The College seeks highly motivated, adaptable individuals to deliver quality tutorials, workshops, practicals, and lectures in the classroom, facilitate online learning, undertake assessment moderation and marking, participate in curriculum development, and provide academic support for students and the teaching team. You will be expected to work collaboratively to deliver learning across a range of programs.
Subjects delivered may include those offered in a 12-week term or a 4-week block delivery model. The College has a modular delivery model that commenced in 2025.
Subjects and qualifications
Applicants must be able to teach in the Science Program, in particular biological sciences, chemistry, and human anatomy and physiology. Practical experience in these areas would be advantageous. More information on our Science program can be found via the College links.
Eligibility and requirements
Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
Recent and relevant teaching experience within the discipline, with the ability to facilitate learning in small and large groups.
Experience teaching students from diverse linguistic, ethnic, and academic backgrounds.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor to various stakeholders.
Current NSW Working with Children Clearance (WWCC) as required by the NSW Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
