The Role
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Sales Executive to grow Portal Technology's managed services and cybersecurity portfolio across the NT. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term client relationships, and supporting existing customers with additional services and solutions.
You will work closely with technical and delivery teams to ensure solutions are aligned to client needs, regulatory requirements, and operational realities.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities across the NT
• Manage and grow a pipeline of ICT managed services and cybersecurity opportunities
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers across government and private sector clients
• Engage with existing clients to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
• Prepare and present proposals, tenders, and statements of work
• Support responses to NT Government procurement and panel opportunities
• Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and reporting
• Represent Portal Technology at industry events and client meetings
About You
• Proven experience in ICT sales, managed services, or technology solutions
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Ability to understand and articulate technical solutions in plain language
• Experience selling into government, regulated, or enterprise environments (desirable)
• Comfortable working autonomously in a Territory-based role
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
Desirable Experience
• Managed services (MSP), cybersecurity, or compliance-focused sales
• Knowledge of frameworks such as Essential Eight, ISO 27001, DISP, NIST and RFFR
• Experience working with NT Government, local councils, or critical infrastructure organisations
• Minimum 2 Year Sales experience required
