Duties (chef)
- maintain good relationships with all customers and suppliers (resolving issues with suppliers if any arise)
- strictly follow and adhere to the budget of the restaurant by ensuring that supplies and or orders are in line with the budget and supervising food and labour cost(s)
- ensuring all kitchen safety measures are met and that sanitation practices are carried out to the required standard.
- participate in the development and planning of seasonal menus.
- make sure that the restaurant keeps up with new trends in the industry and reflect this

- maintain work schedule for kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of activities in the kitchen

- recognised chef qualification.
- 2+ years as a chef in a full

- setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- preparing ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc. )
- cooking food in various utensils or grillers
- set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment

- cook food in various utensils or grillers
- check food while cooking to stir or turn
- ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served

- proven experience as cook
- experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
- knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc. )

- excellent physical condition and stamina
- high school diploma or equivalent; diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
