Job Opportunity: Exhibitions Officer
As an Exhibitions Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation of artistic programs at our gallery. This involves working closely with colleagues to deliver exhibitions, artist in residence programs, and public art projects.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a high level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite. They will also have a strong understanding of exhibition installation procedures and object handling.
This is a permanent part-time position, 21 hours per week (Wednesday-Friday). There may be opportunities for additional hours during peak periods.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in a field related to visual arts, museums, or arts administration
* Demonstrated understanding of curatorial practice and exhibition development
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
* Demonstrated understanding of exhibition installation procedures and object handling
* Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively
* Current NSW Working with Children Check
* Current NSW Class C driver's license
* Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
* Current First Aid Certificate
