Remuneration: Package up to $182,461 plus incentives. Base salary ranges from $101,122 to $160,983, plus leave loading and superannuation contribution.

About the Role
School psychologists are an essential part of the Department's school counselling service and work in primary and high schools. They provide counselling and psychological assessment of students, complementing and enhancing the work of teachers to strengthen student learning and wellbeing outcomes, and help families understand and manage their children's learning and mental health needs.
The role offers a unique opportunity for professional development and impact. The successful candidate will be based at Box Hill High School and may work across the lifespan with primary and high school aged students, engaging with a diverse student community.
They will receive individual professional supervision and participate in group and peer supervision within the broader school counselling team.
Professional development support is provided and the NSW Department of Education will assist with maintaining registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Key Accountabilities
* Provide individual and group counselling and psychological services to students, including short‐term therapeutic interventions within the scope of training and supervision.
* Engage with and implement the Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service.
* Collaborate with principal, school executive, staff and student support services to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes and implement departmental priorities.
* Contribute to the social, emotional and academic development of students and support schools and students with complex behavioural needs.
* Administer cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments, report results and collaborate to improve learning, wellbeing and mental health outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with learning and support teams, parents, carers and other agencies to develop appropriate school‐based support for students.
* Respond as part of a team to assist schools experiencing serious incidents.
* Refer students and/or their families to other agencies that support the development of student health and wellbeing outcomes.
Essential Requirements
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy, Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy.
* General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Valid and current Working with Children Check clearance – WWCC must be NSW.
* Ability and willingness to travel between work sites. Must hold a valid unrestricted provisional or full driver's licence.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
