Where you'll be working

Bega, the rural heartland of the Sapphire Coast, is halfway between Melbourne and Sydney, a short drive to beautiful sandy beaches and national park wilderness. Just 3 hours to Canberra, with the perfect climate for outdoor activities all year round, including whale watching between June and November. The pretty valley is a beautiful base for exploring gorgeous beaches, tranquil waterways, and national parks.


What You'll Be Doing

The Registered Nurse, using best practice evidence, delivers person-centered nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Provides supervision and support for less experienced clinicians to achieve people-focused quality care.


Selection Criteria

* Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
* Postgraduate qualifications in child & family health nursing & Accredited Nurse Immuniser (applicants working towards same will be considered), along with evidence of completion of Family Partnership training (or willingness to undertake training within 12 months at own expense).
* Demonstrated effective clinical communication through information technology, written and verbal means, and sound interpersonal skills.
* Application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person-centred care with a commitment to quality improvement.
* Ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care, showing leadership and embracing change.
* Recent clinical experience relevant to the position, including participation in professional development and maintaining competence.
* Ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload and deliver care with integrity and accountability.
* Current Class C driver's license and willingness to travel within Southern NSW LHD.


Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination

This is a Category 'A' position. All new employees must comply with NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015, including proof of vaccination against influenza, especially for those working in Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF).
