About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our team. This full-time role is essential in supporting the day-to-day operations of various properties in the area. The properties are a mix of cattle farms, hobby farms, and land subdivision sites.
The role is suited to an experienced self motivated individual who can work solo or in teams.
Responsibilities
* Property Maintenance - fencing repairs, painting fences, irrigation repairs, gardening, watering, mowing, slashing, harrowing, wiper sniper, cutting trees.
* Machine Operating - tractors, front end loaders, water truck, excavators, chainsaws, power tools
* Machine Maintenance - washing, greasing/degreasing, detailing
* Attending to cattle - feeding, drenching, general care
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in a farm or agricultural setting, preferably in a similar Farm Hand role
* Strong practical skills and a keen interest in hands-on work with plants, animals, and farm equipment
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of physical farm work
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in the farming industry
* Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting sustainable farming practices
* Minimum 3 days per week.
Mandatory Qualifications:
* Drivers Licence (manual experience)
* Pass a Drug & Alcohol Test
* 2 years + experience in Farm Hand or similar role
Desirable Qualifications:
* White Card
* MR Truck Licence
* Excavator Ticket
* Loader Ticket
* Forklift Ticket
Working Days/Hours
* Required to work minimum of 3/days a week.
* Up to 5.5 days a week on offer for suitable candidate.
