Job Description:

As a Medical Receptionist you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a seamless experience from the moment they enter the clinic. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to our medical team.

* Greeting and checking-in patients, verifying personal information.
* Scheduling appointments and maintaining the appointment calendar.
* Answering phone calls, addressing inquiries, and routing calls to the appropriate staff members.
* Responding to and actioning emails and faxes.
* Managing patient registration and maintaining accurate patient records and information.
* Coordinating with healthcare providers and assisting with various administrative tasks.
* Handling billings and processing payments.
* Preparing consulting rooms and the clinic for the day.
* Maintaining a clean and organized reception area.

Qualifications:

* Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist
* Previous experience with the use of medical software, Best Practice highly regarded
* Knowledge of Medicare Item Numbers and applications
* Knowledge of the Australian healthcare system
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
