About the Role
The Operations Manager will lead the financial, operational, and support services of the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management.
In partnership with the Director and senior staff, you will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, contribute to strategic planning, and champion a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the administrative team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
Act as the primary operational contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, leave management, and workforce planning.
Ensure compliance with accreditation and audit requirements, leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage departmental finances, budgets and payroll processes, and support accurate billing and research revenue management.
Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and communication systems to support effective service delivery.
Contribute to strategic planning, performance reporting, and business case development.
About You
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or significant experience in a complex organisation.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing people and developing teams.
Proven ability to manage finances, resources and operations effectively.
Highly developed organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
A consultative, collaborative leadership style.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence using digital systems.

Experience within a hospital or healthcare setting.

National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
Compliance with staff immunisation requirements.
A current driver's licence (if required for the role).
