About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Service Designer to join a multidisciplinary team on a 6-month contract, starting immediately. This role will play a key part in shaping and improving complex services by applying strong user-centred and systems-thinking approaches. The role As a Senior Service Designer, you will work across discovery and delivery to design end-to-end services that meet user needs while balancing business, policy, and operational constraints. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, researchers, engineers, and stakeholders across the organisation. Key responsibilities Lead service design activities across complex, multi-channel services Plan and facilitate discovery, co-design, and mapping workshops Create and communicate service artefacts such as service blueprints, journey maps, and ecosystem maps Translate user insights into clear service concepts and recommendations Work closely with product, delivery, and operational teams to ensure designs are feasible and actionable Influence stakeholders and advocate for user-centred design practices About you Proven experience as a Senior Service Designer (or equivalent) working on complex services or in agile environments Strong background in service design methods Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and shaping problems Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills Able to start immediately or at short notice Contract details Duration: 6 months Start: Immediate Location: Sydney (hybrid working) Rate: Competitive day rate, commensurate with experience Why join?
