Electrical Technician Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Electrical Technician to join our team based in Kalgoorlie or on an 8:6 roster from Perth.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Evaluating the quality of work performed by team members and providing feedback for review purposes.
* Assisting management in coordinating personnel tasks, resource allocation, and work planning.
* Mentoring and guiding team members as required and providing hands-on assistance when necessary.
* Ensuring employees receive adequate training and instruction to perform their work safely and effectively.
* Active participation in the company's continuous improvement programs, focusing on minimizing waste through adoption and implementation of the 5S systems.
* Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting systems.
* Reading technical diagrams and schematics.
* Performing general electrical maintenance.
* Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
* Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
* Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Australian-recognized Electrical Trade certificate and Grade A State Electrical Licence.
* Minimum of 2 years post-trade experience.
* Deep knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, blueprints, and maintenance and repair procedures.
* Experience in the renewable energy field.
* Thorough understanding of safety procedures and legal regulations, including AS 3000.
* Cert IV in Management/Leadership Training (preferably).
* Ability to mentor apprentices.
* Current and valid Class C driver's license.
