Contract Opportunity – AWS DevSecOps Engineer | NV1 Clearance | Up to $1100/day

Day to Day – What You'll Be Doing
You'll be a hands-on contributor responsible for uplifting DevSecOps capabilities within a critical cloud environment. Expect to:
1. Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar
2. Harden AWS environments using Terraform, security automation, and compliance-as-code
3. Support container orchestration and security across Kubernetes and ECS
4. Work closely with application, cyber security, and platform teams to embed security into every step of the SDLC
5. Troubleshoot and remediate vulnerabilities across infrastructure and applications
6. Ensure compliance with government standards such as ISM, IRAP, and ASD Essential Eight
7. Provide technical leadership and champion DevSecOps best practices in a fast-paced delivery environment
What We're Looking For
We're after a seasoned engineer who thrives in secure cloud environments and can hit the ground running. Ideally, you'll bring:
* Proven experience in DevSecOps roles, ideally in regulated or government settings
* 10+ years of cloud platform engineering experience, including cloud asset management, service delivery, and oversight of computing, storage, and networking resources
* Strong background in cloud security, infrastructure-as-code, and automated deployments
* Proven experience maintaining standard cloud artifacts such as Amazon Machine Images (AMIs), ensuring configurations are secure and up to date
* Experience managing secrets, certificates, and encryption keys securely and effectively across cloud environments
* Ability to collaborate with Front-End and Back-End Developers to design and support self-service platforms that meet business and technical needs
* A cloud-native mindset, with strong understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies
* Experience in automation and infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, ARM, Puppet, or similar tools
* Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling
* Confidence in configuring or migrating complex applications and workloads to cloud platforms
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline
* AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification (desirable, but not essential)
* Excellent communication and documentation skills, especially in high-compliance environments
* NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
