This role is based in Blacktown.About the OpportunityAs a Diesel Mechanic focusing on engine and driveline components, you will be part of a dynamic workshop repair section.
This role offers stability and a chance to truly hone your craft.Your Day-to-Day Activities:Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults, with a focus on major repairs and overhauls on engine or driveline components.Performing hands-on workshop duties, including dismantling products, meticulous cleaning, detailed inspection, precise parts ordering, re-assembling, and testing (where appropriate skills have been attained).

What You'll Bring to the Team:We are looking for hands-on, experienced mechanics who value quality and teamwork.Experience: A minimum of 1 year post-trade experience, with proven experience working in a repair environment undertaking major repairs and overhauls on engine or driveline components.Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, particularly on large, industrial 4-stroke diesel engines (experience in industrial rather than automotive engines is key).
Drive: The ability to work well under pressure to meet requirements and display good time management skills to complete Repair Orders according to scheduled commitments and targets.Communication: Excellent communication skills and a commitment to positive teamwork.Pre-Employment Requirements: The ability to pass a medical and obtain a National Police Clearance.Residency: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is highly desirable.
