Are you a dynamic and experienced hospitality and hotel services qualified looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a Reservations Duty Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences across both The Ville Resort-Casino and Ardo.
THE ROLE
The full-time Reservations Duty Manager role includes working in consultation with the Revenue Manager to lead and manage performance of the Reservations team to ensure efficient and effective management of room reservations, guest accommodations and the booking processes for guests to ensure an exceptional service is provided at all times.
The Reservations Duty Manager will manage the performance of the team including telephone calls, emails and daily tasks to ensure maximum efficiency and minimum wait time for guests. The role also includes training of new employees and upskilling existing team members. Additional responsibilities comprise of assisting with guest complaints and enquiries, ensuring excellent customer service is provided, as well as maximising revenue through effective yield management, rate, inventory and channel manager upkeep.
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualification in a Hospitality/Hotel Services/Business-related discipline preferred.
- Previous management experience in reservations and/or group reservations role is essential.
- Experience with a property management system, in particular Opera Cloud is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in leading, managing and developing a professional hospitality/hotel team.
- Experience with rostering, supervising and training staff.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely high attention to detail.
- Time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands.
- Ability to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays.
