About the Role
Reporting to the Food, Beverage and Events Manager, and working closely with your counterpart, you will support the delivery of refined, attentive dining service with a strong focus on precision, consistency, and member satisfaction. You'll play a key role in ensuring every member receives thoughtful, personalised service while contributing to the smooth and elegant operation of the Club's dining spaces.
Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role you will be:
* Overseeing the floor during service to ensure an elegant and seamless member experience
* Supporting, coaching, and motivating front‑of‑house staff
* Managing conflict and resolving issues with discretion and professionalism
* Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards
* Assisting with staff training, onboarding, and ongoing performance development
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a similar leadership role, ideally within high‑end or fine‑dining environments
* Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in food & beverage operations is required
* Strong Food & Beverage knowledge and skills, especially in à la carte and fine‑dining service
* Intermediate level wine knowledge with understanding of varietals, regions, and food pairings is essential
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
* Ability to train, mentor, and lead a team with confidence, empathy and warmth
* Uncompromising attention to detail and a passion for delivering personalised service
* Strong ability to manage conflict and solve problems with calm professionalism
* Flexibility to work a rotating roster including day and evening shifts
* Strong memory, creativity, and the ability to anticipate member needs
* Patience, emotional intelligence, and a great sense of humour

Work–Life Balance
The food and beverage outlets are closed on weekends, with only the occasional private function on a Saturday or Sunday. The Club offers an excellent work‑life balance with very few weekends required, no public holidays (except Christmas Day when we open for lunch), and reasonable, well‑managed working hours each week.
