Join the dynamic well‑being workforce – South East Region – to support young people at Kingston State School in a Permanent Part‑Time (0.50FTE) position.
Responsibilities
* Undertake individual and group counselling with students, parents and families.
* Provide professional welfare assessments, interventions and follow‑up support as required.
* Identify needs and coordinate referrals to community agencies (health, welfare).
* Develop and implement strategies to engage parents/carers and the community in school activities.
* Act as the contact for parents/carers to improve relationships between the school and community.
* Participate in planning, development and delivery of public presentations on social issues.
* Monitor, evaluate and review program implementation.
* Support school communities during critical incidents and emergencies.
* Maintain confidential data collection, record keeping and reporting systems per department procedures.
* Contribute as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team within the educational setting.
Qualifications
* Registered to practice social work with a recognised institution.
* Experience in school or community settings.
* Strong clinical knowledge in mental health and well‑being interventions.
* Excellent communication, decision‑making and collaborative skills.
* Capacity to work within a team and manage a manageable case load.
