Who we are looking forOur Dams team in Sydney is dedicated to delivering dams engineering, design and dam safety services for water storage dams in Australia and globally.
We are seeking a Technical Director or Senior Mechanical Engineer to expand our specialist team of dams mechanical engineers.As a technical leader, you will deliver innovative solutions and high-quality projects for our clients, and help with the continued development of a robust, skilled, and motivated team capable of sustaining our long-term success.What you will doProvide technical leadership in the design of gates, regulating structures, outlet works, valves, fish screens and other mechanical aspects of water storage dam infrastructure for projects in Australia and globallyProvide mentoring and work closely with the rest of the team to develop sustainable capability in our Australia-based team and globallyLead and oversee delivery of quality technical solutions and successful project outcomes that satisfy our clients' needsActive participation in client relationship management, business development and the development of proposals and technical reportsWhat you will bring to the teamQualifications in Mechanical Engineering, and experience in the mechanical engineering aspects of water storage damsExperience at all project phases including project identification, feasibility studies, conceptual design, reference design, and detailed designA minimum of 15 years' experience in a consulting environment, specifically in the design and specification of gates, hoists, outlet works, trash racks and screens, fishways, pipe work, valves and other mechanical equipment associated with dams.
Hydropower experience will also be looked on favorably.Experience in risk assessments and dam safety inspections or condition assessments of hydromechanical plantExperience working in multi-disciplined teams, including geologists, structural engineers, hydraulic engineers, dams engineers, and electrical and civil engineersSuccessful development and growth of strong client relationshipsEstablished project team management skills in a multidisciplinary consulting environmentLocationLocation can be any of our Australian or NZ offices.How to applyInterested?
