About the Role:
* Provide personal care and hygiene support to a male participant with a spinal cord injury. This may include assistance with daily living tasks such as showering, dressing and toileting.
* Assist with medication management, manual handling, and community access to ensure the participant's independence and well-being.
* Participate in health and rehabilitation activities to support the participant's overall health and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) - demonstrating knowledge and skills in providing high-quality individual support services.
* Australian Driver Licence - enabling travel to appointments and activities outside of the home.
* Current Police Check - ensuring a safe working environment for all participants and staff.
* First Aid & CPR certification - responding to emergencies and providing basic first aid when required.
* Current Blue Card - working with vulnerable adults and children in the community.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check - complying with NDIS requirements for working with people with disability.
* Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module - understanding NDIS principles and practices.
* Completion of Effective Communication Module (NDIS) - developing effective communication skills when interacting with participants and colleagues.
* Third-party compulsory car insurance - driving safely and responsibly.
* Two professional references - showcasing work history and experience.
* A reliable, proactive, and positive approach - delivering exceptional service and supporting the team.
