Job Overview
The Obstetrician Gynecologist serves a critical role in delivering comprehensive, high-quality patient care to the community. As a member of the healthcare team, they are accountable for providing and coordinating patient care according to their specialty.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver exceptional patient care, including attending to hospitalized patients and maintaining accurate medical records.
2. Act as a medical resource and consultant to other healthcare providers, staying up-to-date in their area of expertise and sharing new knowledge with the team.
3. Develop and implement protocols to ensure uniform application of care to all patients in similar situations.
4. Participate in after-hours telephone coverage, problem-oriented record-keeping, and database management.
5. Design and implement in-service programming for healthcare providers and engage in community activities such as health fairs and presentations.
Qualifications:
1. MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
2. State license and certification issued by the relevant authority.
3. Board certification or board eligibility.
4. Current CPR/BLS certification.
5. At least 2 years' experience in the current field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
6. Orientation toward primary care delivery and prior experience in a comprehensive ambulatory care setting.
