Job Description ALL about the role: Act as the 2IC for the maintenance department, supporting the Chief Engineer in daily operations. Supervise and train the maintenance team, ensuring compliance with SOPs and WHS regulations. Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance needs, address safety concerns, and resolve building defects. Oversee and prioritize maintenance requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for equipment and machinery. Manage external contractors and schedules to minimise guest disruption. Maintain and oversee building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and fire safety. Manage departmental budgets to ensure cost efficiency. Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanour at all times. Provide leadership by directing staff performance and ensuring corrective actions when needed. Expected to work weekends and public holidays as part of the role’s responsibilities.
