In Australia's harsh environment, our network allows the country's public national broadcasters to maintain connection with Australians through floods, bushfires, cyclones and other natural disasters.ABOUT THE ROLEReporting to the Area Manager, you will maintain a variety of transmission systems and associated infrastructure to meet customer requirements and oversee a team of Broadcast Technicians who are responsible for the maintenance and performance of the AM, FM & Digital Radio and TV broadcast networks transmission systems and infrastructure to ensure service delivery targets and expectations are met and risk to services is minimised.With an office based in Gungahlin, the role requires travel within the state. Some further interstate travel may be required for training and emergency response purposes.ABOUT YOUIn addition to fully competent Senior Broadcast Technician (BT)3 skills of:Competent in-service restorationCorrective MaintenancePreventative MaintenanceProof of Performance TestingEffectively manages and supervises contractorsIs part of the On-Call roster and is capable of completing on-call duties with no directionPerforms the function of technical lead when working with other technicians or contractorsHas a high level of customer service skillsEffectively manages high impact faults and efficiently and effectively manages service restoration activitiesIs capable of managing more complex fault restorationAccurately completes all reporting associated with their work including the completion of Work Orders and fault ticketsCoaches and develops other techniciansUndertakes all activities in line with the BAI Communications Group WHS Policy.
