Teacher Librarian – Part Time (0.6 FTE)
Position available at William Rose School, an inclusive Kindergarten to Year 12 School for Specific Purposes (SSP) located in Western Sydney.
The school offers a diverse learning environment for 85 enrolled students, including 62% English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) learners and 8% Aboriginal students. We are committed to inclusive education, differentiated curriculum, and high-quality educational opportunities.

Compensation
Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.
Position Details
Part‐time, 3 days per week (0.6 FTE). Permanent position.
Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach library (Primary) or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain a welcoming, well‐organised library environment that actively supports student accessibility, engagement, borrowing and literacy development, while effectively administering library systems such as Oliver, budgeting, accessioning and stocktake, with flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving school needs.
* Exceptional ability to foster and manage an inclusive library environment that operates as a vibrant learning hub, engaging, inspiring, and extending students with diverse abilities through tailored, research‐based teaching and learning practices.
* Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with teaching staff and the wider school community, fostering the library as a vibrant, accessible learning hub that integrates digital resources and innovative approaches, promotes student engagement, supports positive behaviour and classroom management, and shows flexibility to respond to change.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
