Geoscientist Role
We are seeking a driven and technically strong Geoscientist to join our West Pilbara Geoscience – Resource Development Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across both brownfield and greenfield environments, contributing to projects ranging from early-stage target testing through to advanced resource evaluation.
About the Role
You will play a key role across a large and diverse operational footprint, conducting first-pass best-practice RC and Diamond core logging and geological interpretations, managing geological data flow from the field, applying QA / QC protocols and interpreting results.
* Geochemistry data validation and material type classification
* Assisting with planning and execution of field programs
* Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of field programs for modelling and mine geology teams
* Producing 3D geological cross sections to support in-field interpretations
* Supervising, training and coaching junior team members
* Conducting geological mapping, reconnaissance and ground validation work
What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A degree in Geoscience or Geology (post-graduate qualifications highly regarded)
* A current WA C-Class Driver's Licence
* Strong technical report writing skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
* Experience in resource development, exploration or mine geology environments (advantageous)
