We're looking for a commercially driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead growth initiatives, nurture key accounts, and drive new business opportunities.
Mitani is a well-known food manufacturer based in Salisbury, South Australia, best recognised for its iconic chicken salt, a seasoning that has become a staple in Australian households and takeaway shops. A family-owned business with decades of history, Mitani has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and consistency in food production. Alongside chicken salt, the company produces a wide range of value-added food ingredients for retail and foodservice markets across Australia, with a commitment to supporting local ingredients and maintaining high manufacturing standards.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, this role will take ownership of the sales and marketing function, ensuring leads are generated, nurtured, and transitioned to our R&D team to close the deal. You'll also provide leadership and direction to uplift current business development activity and build strong, long-term client partnerships. We are looking for someone who can:
Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive growth across key markets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building strong relationships with customers and industry partners.
Manage and nurture existing accounts, ensuring exceptional service and alignment with client needs.
Oversee marketing campaigns, brand positioning, and product promotions to maximise market presence.
Collaborate closely with R&D and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions for customers.
Report on performance metrics, market trends, and pipeline development to the executive team.
About You
We are looking for that special kind of leader. Someone who has proven experience in sales and marketing within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry. You will bring:
Strong business development skills with the ability to generate and convert leads.
Exceptional relationship management and account development experience.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
High energy, results-driven, and able to work collaboratively across teams.
Work with an established SA-owned and operated business.
