About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager (Production, Quality & Safety) to join our site leadership team at our manufacturing facility in Deer Park.
Reporting to the Plant Director, this role is critical in ensuring our manufacturing operations run efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead the Production, Quality, and Safety functions, partnering across the business to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Operational Delivery: Lead daily production execution to meet delivery schedules, quality standards, and cost targets.
* Operational Discipline: Drive process adherence to ensure reliable, consistent performance and throughput.
* Quality Leadership: Oversee the Quality function, monitoring metrics and implementing initiatives to reduce defects.
* Safety & Compliance: Lead a proactive safety culture, ensuring all operations meet OHS requirements and leading incident investigations.
* Team Development: Build a skilled and motivated workforce through clear accountability, coaching, and recognition.
* EBA Management: Manage workforce requirements in alignment with our Enterprise Agreement, maintaining constructive relationships with employee representatives.
* Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain locally, and align with global teams on best practice.
Key Skills and Experience for the role:
* Minimum 7 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations with a focus on production and quality.
* Manufacturing operations experience may be gained from any manufacturing sector.
* At least 10 years of experience in management or leadership roles.
* Proven experience managing a workforce under an Enterprise Agreement (EA) or similar industrial framework.
* Advanced knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Strong technical aptitude with experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred).
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, or a related field are highly regarded.
* Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
