Internal expression of interest Temporary Full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity until 30 June 2026 with the possibility of extension. Located in Parramatta with hybrid working supported Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $173,121 to $191,993 pa plus superannuation The Executive Manager, Strategic Coordination provides strategic advice and support to the Deputy Secretary and ECCS Executive. The position leads the Office of the Deputy Secretary, Strategic Projects and Group Governance units, which deliver a range of executive support functions to the Deputy Secretary and Executive including group wide coordination processes, governance, reporting, business planning, performance, risk management, and delivery of strategic projects and reforms. The role manages complex, sensitive and urgent matters for the Deputy Secretary, and leads strategic engagement with a range of stakeholders including the Minister’s Office, Office of the Secretary, Ministerial Services Branch and executives and Executive Offices across DCCEEW. The role acts as a principal representative of the ECCS Deputy Secretary across ECCS, DCCEEW, NSW Government and with external stakeholders. The position reports directly to the ECCS Deputy Secretary and manages a number of direct reports and teams. You thrive in dynamic settings, balancing multiple priorities while providing well-informed, timely advice to senior leaders on diverse and complex issues. You have excellent stakeholder management skills and are confident engaging with Ministers’ offices, senior executives, central agencies, and external partners. You build strong relationships, foster collaboration, and drive outcomes that align with organisational goals. You are skilled at navigating sensitive, high-level communications, preparing Cabinet submissions, briefing notes, and reports with precision and clarity, and ensuring your teams deliver consistently high standards under tight deadlines. You are a strategic thinker who can identify operational and governance challenges, propose practical solutions, and lead their implementation, ensuring effective, coordinated leadership across the organisation.
