The Opportunity
As part of our commitment to delivering excellent service and supporting our continued growth, we are seeking a junior IT Support Officer to join our IT team. Reporting to the IT Service Delivery Manager, you will work within the IT Service Desk team to provide remote and on-site support to staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical and corporate ICT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide first-level IT support to users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
* Troubleshoot technical problems and escalate complex issues when required.
* Manage and resolve service desk tickets promptly, maintaining clear communication with users.
* Assist with application support for clinical and corporate systems, including RIS/PACS.
* Help deploy software updates and applications using desktop management tools.
* Support the administration of Windows desktop and server environments.
* Maintain data security by assisting with antivirus systems and following security protocols.
* Participate in a rotating on-call roster for after-hours IT support.
About You:
* Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
* Basic knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments, networking, Active Directory, and common office applications.
* Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on supporting internal users.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and share knowledge.
