About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Community Services Manager provides:
• Leadership and mentoring to Day Service Coordinators, Community Coordinators, Support Workers, and indirect leadership support to the Residential Team Leader.
• Oversight of service quality, participant outcomes, compliance, and alignment with NDIS Practice Standards.
• Collaboration with the Residential Services Manager to strengthen continuity of care across community and residential settings.
• Hands-on leadership in a fast-moving environment while maintaining strategic oversight and continuous improvement across services.
This role is central in ensuring we deliver wraparound, holistic support that empowers participants and supports workforce capability.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
• Lead and support the Community Services team.
• Promote a culture of accountability, best practice, and continuous improvement.
• Build leadership capability across the team.
Compliance Oversight
• Ensure all Community Services operations meet NDIS Quality & Safeguards requirements.
• Oversee compliance for day programs, community access, and related supports.
Internal Auditing & Continuous Improvement
• Develop and maintain an internal audit schedule.
• Monitor outcomes, corrective actions, and systemic improvements.
Policy, Procedure & Documentation
• Contribute to policy development and updates.
• Ensure documentation and reporting systems meet NDIS and organisational requirements.
Incident & Risk Management
• Oversee incident management and escalation processes.
• Collaborate with risk and CI systems to reduce recurrence.
On-Call & Staff Support
• Participate in the rotating out-of-hours roster.
• Support frontline staff with urgent compliance or risk-related matters.
Collaboration & Organisational Development
• Work closely with Senior Leadership to align systems with organisational strategy.
• Support accreditation and external audit readiness.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
• Demonstrated leadership experience in disability, mental health, or community services.
• Strong understanding of the NDIS and Quality & Safeguards Standards.
• Experience leading teams delivering community access, day programs, or 1:1 supports.
• High-level organisational, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Minimum Certificate IV in Community Services (or equivalent).
Desirable:
• Experience developing and delivering community programs.
• Training in trauma-informed practice.
• Experience managing compliance and documentation in a community services environment.
