As a Business Development Manager based in Townsville, you will report to the Sales Manager and be responsible for driving business growth across the Residential, Commercial, and Repaint business sectors.
You will manage relationships with key stakeholders, including builders and professional painters, with the goal of turning leads into sustainable and profitable business.
While the role is based out of Townsville, the successful candidate will oversee areas such as Cairns, Rockhampton, and parts of the NT, so travel and overnight stays will be required.
Responsibilities:
Achieve sales, profit, and growth targets for the assigned territory.
Develop and improve the customer service proposition to support the brand strategy.
Implement specification/sales strategies to achieve both long- and short-term goals.
Execute marketing & promotional plans related to Commercial New and Repaint sectors, as well as new builders.
Deliver professional product/system presentations to customers.
Develop tenders, including development, presentation, and management.
Provide product/system specifications.
Develop and foster relationships with key customers.
Manage, maintain, and grow a portfolio of main accounts.
Provide market intelligence and feedback on new product development and enhancements.
Adhere to PPG corporate values in all activities.
Requirements:
Successful track record in account management.
Commercial knowledge of the coatings industry.
Understanding of relevant business sectors and existing relationships within the same space is an advantage.
Strong commercial acumen.
High-level planning and negotiation skills.
