Sales & Marketing Manager – Aviation
Primary Role
We are looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager for our Rome office, responsible for the commercial development of the airlines represented by Distal GSA in the Italian market.
What you'll do
* Define and implement sales strategies in line with the airlines' commercial objectives and market positioning.
* Develop new business opportunities and expand the customer base across trade and corporate segments.
* Manage and grow relationships with travel agencies, TMCs, tour operators, corporate accounts and strategic partners.
* Lead commercial negotiations, agreements and long-term partnerships.
* Analyze market trends, competitors and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
* Represent the airlines in commercial meetings, events and industry initiatives in Italy and abroad.
* Act as the main commercial point of contact between the airlines' head offices and the Italian market.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams and airline stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of commercial actions.
* Monitor sales performance and key commercial KPIs, providing structured reporting to management.
What you have got
* 4+ years of experience in sales or commercial roles within the aviation or travel industry (GSA, airlines, TMCs, tour operators).
* Proven ability to develop business and manage commercial relationships.
* Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing to shared objectives in a structured organization.
* Strong analytical mindset and results-oriented approach.
* Fluent English (written and spoken).
* Full user of MS Office.
* Availability to travel frequently in Italy and abroad.
* Driving license and car.
