As a growing energy provider, our client is now seeking an experienced Compliance Officer.
In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Retail Business and Compliance committee, including but not limited to complying with regulations to ensure critical information about our rates and services are displayed correctly. Government support is being provided for eligible customers.
- Remain up to date on federal and state energy laws related to the organisation and update policies accordingly.
- Perform compliance audits on company policies, marketing materials, customer correspondence, website etc., to determine whether established protocols are being followed, identify potential risks and suggest where they can be improved.
- Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance breaches.
- Assess company operations to determine compliance risk. Manage and perform internal core process compliance audits and process assessments.
- Maintain and review compliance documentation and policies related to the organisation's business activities.
- Lead and participate in the management of corrective actions to ensure timely follow-up, completion and validation of disciplinary action's effectiveness.
- Conduct data and trend analysis of identified audit/assessment root cause to prevent recurring issues.
- Develop and manage a master register of non-compliance risks and actively work with management and other stakeholders in ensuring that identified risks are effectively managed.
- Create a compliance resource library for staff members to reference when they have questions.
- Resolve internal stakeholders' concerns about legal compliance.
- Sign off on any marketing and advertising collateral to ensure compliance.
- Review the internal communication process between stakeholders on the delivery of marketing correspondences and promotions.
